Got the kids their first dirtbike. Went with a ttr230 to ease them in. They are 13 and 15 so I need to break them in a little at a time. At this age they think they know everything. What MX bike would you move to after this one? We have a ton of trails here (that they can ride to from the garage) but only a little MX style riding without having to haul the bike everywhere. 1 Answer. SOURCE: Hard starting of a yamaha ttr 225 after sitting. I had a similar problem with my TTR 125. I removed the carb, removed the float bowl and gave a a careful clean. I also removed the choke plunger mechanism and gave that a few shots of penetrating lube oil. The choke mechanism works much smoother as a result.

I feel like I've searched everywhere and I can't find side covers for the right side cover (over the battery). If I can't find them, what might you all recommend since mine broke completely off beyond repair.

My 2008 ttr 110 carb is attached to the throttle by two cables. The cables end in a little box that sits on top of the carburetor. I can’t figure out how to get the carb all the way off the bike. I thought I would disconnect the box that the two throttle cables terminate in, but I took out the one screw I could find and it still won’t come off. I also tried opening up the box hoping I would be able to slip the ends of the throttle cables out of their retainers but no luck there either. Anyo...
